Registration Procedures
Registration is open to all community members regardless of age or skill-level. Please keep in mind that some classes are designed for specific ages and would best be enjoyed by that age group.
Private instruction is available for all ages and skill-levels. Please call the Herberger College at Large office at 480.727.0700 to register.
Date, times and locations are subject to change.
Registration Deadline
Registration is open for all classes, except Private Instruction, until the first day of each class. Students are accepted throughout the semester for Private Instruction, depending upon the availability of the instructors. Registration is available online and via phone, fax, mail or in person at the Herberger College at Large & for Kids office in West Hall, Room 248, ASU Tempe Campus. Hours are 9 a.m. – noon and 1-4 p.m., Monday-Friday. Phone: 480.727.0700.
Waiver
All students enrolled in Herberger College at Large must have a signed waiver on file, which includes emergency contact information. If you have not done so, please complete and sign the PDF waiver form and either mail it to: Herberger College at Large, Arizona State University, P.O. Box 872102, Tempe, AZ 85287-2102, or bring it with you the first day of class.
Refund Policy
Classes
Refund requests will only be honored if made before the date of the first class. Once the class has begun, no refunds will be made.
Private Instruction
If requested within the first week of lessons, refund will be 75 percent of session fees.
If requested within the second week of lessons, refund will be 50 percent of session fees.
No refunds will be made after the second week of lessons.
Materials
Most class materials are included in fees unless otherwise stated. If student is responsible for purchasing materials for a specific class, vendor location and approximate cost will be provided. Private music teachers may purchase materials for students, in which case the teacher must be reimbursed by the student.
Change of Information
Please remember to update the Herberger College at Large office if personal information (i.e. address, phone number or e-mail address) changes. Herberger College at Large does not accept responsibility for lost or undeliverable mail.
Private Instruction ONLY
Missed Lessons, Private Instruction
When private lessons are scheduled, please keep in mind that lessons are the same day and time all semester. No temporary changes will be made. Herberger College at Large instructors are not obligated to schedule make-up lessons or classes for those missed by a student. In the event of an instructor cancellation, one make-up lesson will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time.
Payment Plan, Private Instruction
All fees are due before lessons and classes begin. Payment plans may be arranged for private instruction. Payments are due promptly on or before the designated due date, as outlined in the payment plan. A $20 late fee will be assessed for payments more than two weeks late.
